Alexis Sanchez is in no doubt Arsenal have the mindset needed to secure a positive end to the campaign.

The Gunners beat Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford on Monday night to book a place in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley and can cement their position back in the top four of the Premier League with victory over out-of-form West Ham today.

They then travel to Monaco for the second-leg of their last-16 Champions League tie, where they must overturn a 3-1 deficit.

And Sanchez (inset) believes if Arsene Wenger's side can retain focus, then success is within reach.

"It is all down to us. If we want to stay in the top four or climb some places in the table, we must maintain the winning mentality," Sanchez said.

"I always say that mentality is a crucial aspect in a football environment - if a footballer goes on the pitch with the right mentality, he will perform well."

Sanchez has enjoyed an impressive debut season, the Chile forward netting 19 goals following his £32million summer move from Barcelona after the World Cup.

The 26-year-old is determined to continue his progress.

"My spell here (has been) a really positive one. I like the city a lot and I feel really comfortable at the club," he said.

"Supporters here are very cheerful and enlivening, which is a very nice thing. My team-mates are really kind, too. My goal now is to take Arsenal as high as possible."

"I am well adapted to the country and the league - I must keep on learning, though. I want to expand my knowledge of English football in general and Arsenal and my team-mates in particular, but overall I love this league.

"Here, you can get beaten 3-0 by a team lying at the bottom of the table. It is not an unusual thing in English football. That is why any prediction ahead of the game may be very deceptive.

"Regardless of how good or bad the team you play against is, you can feel that there is a huge crowd and pressure everywhere you go. I really like that."
