Alex keep focus on Eureka

ALEXANDRA COLLEGE boss Dave Collins insists his side will be simply focused on winning tomorrow's FAI Schools Leinster Senior Girls Cup final, despite the chance to also extend an incredible record.

The Milltown school will be looking to win at least one Leinster title for the sixth year running when they take on Eureka Secondary School, Kells in the provincial showpiece in Leixlip (12.0pm KO). It is an incredible record, made more impressive by the fact that Alexandra have captured more than one Leinster title in a single season on multiple occasions in the last five years.

Collins' side are holders of the competition but only two weeks ago they were beaten in the final of another competition they won last year: the Leinster Junior Cup.

"It is a massive game against a school that always produces really, really good sides," said Collins.

"The girls know how big a game it is. That's enough to motivate them to get the result."
