Adam's hat trick
Young Irish prospect Adam Idah hopes he can build on his stunning midweek hat-trick for Norwich City's youth side.
The Cork-born striker scored three for the Canaries in a 4-1 win over Barnsley in the FA Youth Cup, and while he has yet to make the first team with Norwich, Idah (16) is very highly rated is is high on confidence.
With such a dearth of striking options for Ireland at senior level since Robbie Keane's retirement, the progress of strikers like Idah will be keenly watched, though he's still eligible at U17 level.
"It's my first hat-trick for the club on my first appearance at Carrow Road. I'm delighted about that," said Idah, a product of Cork side College Corinthians.
"I was playing locally back in Ireland and one of the scouts came to watch me. I think I scored a hat-trick in that game, came over here on trial and scored a hat-trick against Peterborough.
"I scored a hat-trick recently against Azerbaijan too so hopefully I can keep going! Once I score one, I get more confident," he added.
