Small Ball to spark the big debate at HQ

THE sliotar will be flying around the corridors of Parnell Park tonight.

It's the AGM of the Friends of Dublin Hurling (7.30pm).

"We'd love people to come along and air their views on Dublin hurling," says Michael O'Grady.

"We welcome debate and new ideas."

On Saturday, the O'Grady Express is heading for the Cusack Cauldron as Dublin tackle Clare in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League.

The FODH buses leave Connolly Station (10.30am) and Rathcoole (11.am).

The return fare is 10 Euro for adults and five Euro for juveniles. For non-members, add a fiver.

Or at Parnell Park on March 22nd for the Galway game.

Those who sign up in March will enter a draw for two tickets for the NHL quarter-final on March 29th.

Also at the Galway match, the FODH will be selling caps (5 Euro) and Polo Shirts (35 Euro).

Fleece jackets cost 50 Euro. You can order a jacket by sending money and size details to Tom O'Donnell, GAA Games Office, St Vincent's CBS, Glasnevin, no later than March 22nd.


THE Croi Ro Naofa Golf Classic is on in May.

All Dublin clubs are invited to play. Dublin fans too. Even those who wear the colours of other counties!

It takes place at the Dublin City Golf Club on Friday, May 29th.

By then, Rory, or indeed Padraig, could be wearing a green jacket. Who knows?

The Classic is being run in conjunction with the Killinarden Parish. The proceeds from the event will be shared between the club and the parish.

The cost is 100 Euro per team of three. It's a scramble format.

There are also prizes for the Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin and other individual prizes.

Hole sponsorship costs 150 Euro.

When the last putt is sunk, the prize giving and the meal will take place in Killinarden House.
