Sean hooks up with Kaka after sealing MLS deal
FORGOTTEN man Sean St Ledger has finally won himself a contract after signing a deal with MLS side Orlando City, where he joins Brazil star Kaka on the books.
Now 31, St Ledger last played a competitive club game back in August 2013 as a recent spell at Ipswich Town ended without him making an an appearance, but following a long spell on trial with Orlando, he has signed a long-term deal.
"We're delighted to have Sean on our roster, as he brings a lot of experience at the Club and international level," said manager Adrian Heath.
"He's a very versatile defender who is comfortable playing in several positions along the backline, which is a big bonus for the squad."
St Ledger, who had been on trial with MSL rivals DC United before Orlando, has spoken of his hopes of playing international football again. He last featured for Ireland in Martin O'Neill's second game in charge, the 0-0 draw away to Poland in 2013.
He will face up to Ireland captain Robbie Keane on May 17th when Orlando take on LA Galaxy
