Saints to go marching on in Inter Cup

lsl previews

ST MOCHTA'S meet College Corinthians tomorrow aiming to complete a clean sweep of the semi-final berths for the LSL in this season's FAI Intermediate Cup.

After last week's heroics from Firhouse Clover, Tolka Rovers and Crumlin United in dumping out three Cork teams, the Saints now have the chance to make it an all Dublin affair in the last four.

Easier said than done for the Porterstown Road side. College, the reigning MSL champions, is a side bang in form. They came to Dublin recently to end Glenville's Inter Cup dreams before going on to win the Collingwood Cup, the intervarsity title.

The Saints have been on a steady rise for the last couple of seasons. They have assembled a classy squad capable of taking on the best that this grade has to offer. Tomorrow, that talented squad gets their chance to prove they have what it takes to mix it with the best.

The Saints, a serious squad with serious ambitions and with the likes of David and Carl Somers and Glen Crowe they have stormed towards top flight football this term. College, though, are no slouches either, as proved by their recent Collingwood Cup success.

This will be tight, but the Saints can get this one back to Dublin.
