Ulster go top as Connacht win at Firhill
Ulster moved top of the Magners League after registering their third successive victory of the campaign in a pulsating encounter against Edinburgh at Ravenhill, winning 29-21.
Tries from the returning Andrew Trimble and Ian Whitten, and a penalty from fly-half Niall O'Connor, gave the home side a 13-6 interval lead, while Edinburgh's points came from Chris Paterson.
O'Connor extended the lead with a penalty, but Dutch wing Tim Visser crossed to get Edinburgh back in the game. O'Connor responded with another penalty and a drop goal and Darren Cave's try put the hosts clear before Ben Cairns got a late score for the Scots.
Connacht out-half Ian Keatley helped defeat Glasgow as he put over four penalties and converted a scorching try by wing Fionn Carr as the visitors triumphed 19-17 at Firhill last night.
In a close match, the home side were in the lead until Keatley's fourth penalty gave Connacht the win five minutes from time.
