Trimble can tame Tigers

THE vibe coming out of Ulster this week couldn't be any better. They put in-form Edinburgh to the sword with immaculate certainty in the PRO12 League last Friday.

They hold a two-point lead over Leicester and Clermont-Auvergne with a daunting trip to the Massif Central in the final round.

A four-point gain over Leicester either through a bonus-point victory or a regular win without conceding a losing bonus point will take Leicester out of the tournament.

Ireland wing Andrew Trimble has never been in better form. He has always been a muscular performer.

Now, he is adding a mistake-free aspect to his game. He could be the key to revenge from the 20-9 defeat by the Tigers at Welford Road in round two.

In addition, Springbok Ruan Pienaar and fellow half-back Paul Marshall have both signed on the dotted line for two more years.
