Sexton: I'm glad to be coming home
Jonathan Sexton (above) will be back at Leinster for four more years from the summer of 2015.
"I am pleased to be re-joining Leinster, the club where I started my professional career," said the Ireland out-half yesterday.
"I grew up playing my rugby in Leinster and always wanting to pull on the blue jersey, so I am delighted to be able to return to play my club rugby in Ireland."
It is understood the fact that Sexton and his wife Laura welcomed their first son, Luca, into the world in June was a decisive factor in wanting to be close to the support given by family and friends.
This is also an endorsement of the Irish Rugby Football Union, which was able to table a bid good enough to tempt Sexton home when there were greater riches on offer at Racing Metro and, reputedly, Toulon.
