RUGBY UNION: Saracens are hopeful they can sign unsettled Wales star Gavin Henson.
Saracens players Richard Wigglesworth and David Strettle revealed on Twitter that Henson trained with the Premiership club yesterday.
Henson has not played rugby for 18 months, going on unpaid leave from Welsh regional team the Ospreys. Recently, though, the 28-year-old has expressed his desire to start playing again, and with a London club.
"Had Gavin Henson training with us this morning," said Wigglesworth yesterday.
"He looked sharp and keen to get back to his rugby.
"Hope the deal can get done."
GRIDIRON: Brett Favre's status as the ironman of the NFL looked vulnerable last night when the Minnesota Vikings quarterback was diagnosed with two fractures in his left ankle.
Elsewhere, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke his left collarbone last night, an injury that could end his season.
