Roberts admits Welsh suffering

Jamie Roberts has underlined the sense of hurt currently being felt by the players and management in the Wales camp.

The 2008 Six Nations champions go into Saturday's finale against fifth-placed Italy knowing they could end up with the wooden spoon.

Italy would have to win -- something they have never achieved in Cardiff -- and Scotland avoid defeat against Ireland for that to happen.

"I can assure every Welsh fan that there is nobody hurting more than the players and the coaches," said centre Roberts.

"Unfortunately, we have managed to just beat Scotland and come up short in the other three games. We can give assurances that we are training our socks off and we will give it our all to beat Italy.

"Italy are going to see us as a scalp. They have seen us struggle in this championship and they will want to go out on a high."
