New referee website well worth a visit DLS in fourth class 'blitz'
Leinster Rugby Referees, recently launched their new website. The site, www.arlb.ie, is designed in direct response to their referee's requirements and also to help improve their recruitment drive.
The site includes an improved on-line experience and simplified navigation.
Content on the site can be easily added to by members of the association's various committees through its improved content management interface.
"Providing referees with the information they need, quickly, was one of our key aims with the site," said Fran Nolan, President Leinster Rugby Referees.
"Referees now have immediate access to competition regulations, red card forms and guidelines on filling these forms through our resources section and also a log in to their appointments.
"Another key aim of the site was to enable anyone interested in refereeing to easily find out how they go about joining the association, what is involved, what the benefits are and how they can get to the top of the refereeing ladder." The referees can be visited at www.arlb.ie
DLS in fourth class 'blitz'
The fourth class boys from Scoil Na Mainistreach De la Salle (Kildare town) took part in a 'Play Rugby' Tag blitz, with over 70 boys participating. The blitz allowed each team to play four matches across the afternoon.
The chilly January weather could not dampen the spirits of the boys as they showcased their new rugby skills after completing the Leinster Rugby 'Play Rugby' programme.A special thanks to fourth-class teachers Ms. Cullagh and Mr O'Connor for their help running the blitz and ensuring everyone enjoyed the day. The boys look forward to taking part in an inter schools blitz later in the year in Cill Dara RFC.
If your school would like to enter the 'Play Rugby' programme please contact your local Community Rugby Officer for the Kildare Area Maurice Logue. E-mail -- email@example.com
