Munster's Holland ready to show his 'A' game
Billy Holland will play for Munster 'A' in the British & Irish Cup against London Scottish in Richmond tomorrow night (KO 7.45).
The utility back row forward will see competitive action for the first time since breaking his ankle for Emerging Ireland in the Tbilisi Cup last June.
Holland did have a 40-minute hit out for Cork Constitution in the All-Ireland League last week ahead of teaming up with Sean McCarthy in the second row.
Coach Mick O'Driscoll will call on Academy loose-head Liam O'Connor and Uruguayan international tight-head in the front row.
They will flank their captain and hooker Niall Scannell.
The back row will comprise of the athletic Jordan Coghlan, Sean Doyle and number eight Shane Buckley.
Brothers Bill Johnson and David Johnston, at fly-half and full-back, respectively, will start in the backfield with Ireland U20 Stephen Fitzgerald, another fine prospect, and Ronan O'Mahony wide out.
There is experience there too from scrum-half Duncan Williams.
Leinster have stolen some of Munster's thunder in the B&I cup in recent years, winning two of the last three.
However, it was the Men in Red who became the first Irish province to win this competition in 2012, taking Leinster's scalp in a sensational semi-final at The RDS.
Munster 'A': D Johnston; S Fitzgerald, M D'Arcy, C Bohane, R O'Mahony; B Johnston, D Williams; L O'Connor, N Scannell (capt), M Sagario, S McCarthy, B Holland, J Coghlan, S Doyle, S Buckley.
