Munster sign Haley from Sale
Munster have signed full-back Mike Haley from Sale Sharks.
The man from Preston is Irish-qualified through his maternal grandmother, who comes from Tralee.
The 23-year-old will move in the summer on a three-year deal in what is seen as a direct replacement for the exiting Simon Zebo.
"We are delighted to recruit an exciting young playmaker such as Mike," said Munster coach Johann van Graan.
"Although only 23, he has over six years of professional rugby under his belt and will be a great addition to our squad."
Haley has gotten as far as playing for the English Saxons against South Africa in 2016 and an England XV against The Barbarians in 2017.
He will arrive in Limerick with a big reputation and the intention to compete for international honours with Ireland.
Meanwhile, Connacht will increase the capacity of The Sportsground for the Challenge Cup quarter-final against Gloucester on March 31.
The western province has made arrangements for the addition of temporary terracing at the Bohermore and College Road ends of the ground "due to unprecedented level of ticket sales".
