Miller seals whitewash
IRELAND recorded their third Six Nations win on the bounce with a hard fought 20-0 win over Scotland in Ashbourne.
Philip Doyle's charges are still in the hunt for championship honours when they travel to England next week.
A Niamh Kavanagh break on six minutes had the Scots reeling and second-row Sophie Spence scored Ireland's first try. Niamh Briggs converted but missed a penalty soon after.
Despite Scotland pressure, Ireland's defensive effort was rewarded on 29 minutes when Cantwell found Ashleigh Baxter out wide on the right flank and the full-back dived over.
Second-half scoring was confined to a Briggs penalty until good Irish handling set up winger Alison Miller to finish the game off with a try in the corner.
