Mary's plot killer blow

WITH international rugby upon us there's fewer games going on these days. The leagues are almost done too -- but there's still lots to play for.

The J1 League title might be decided next week when Old Belvedere and St Mary's meet on Monday at Anglesea Road. Mary's are unbeaten and lie eight points ahead of Belvo, who have a game in hand. A win for Mary's effectively hands the league title to them. Belvo have a tougher run in, with both Lansdowne and Clontarf to play.

In Section B (A), Greystones have had a good season and with only two phases to go are odds-on favourites to win out -- but Terenure could still have a say in that outcome.

'Stones have to travel to Lakelands to cement their position at the top.

Old Wesley still could have a say in proceedings too though -- and should beat NUIM Barnhall this week.

In Group B, DLSP have a chance to overtake Naas when they take on Navan this weekend.

Congratulations to Terenure College J5 team who wrapped up their league last weekend.
