Lucky class to train with Leinster heroes

Barretstown is delighted to announce the launch of the Barretstown-Leinster Rugby Fundraising Competition (LRFC), which is open to all primary and secondary schools in the province.

The winning class will meet their Leinster Rugby idols on their home ground, join in a fun training session with the players and have their photo taken with them.

To enter, schools just need to register with the fundraising team in Barretstown.

They will then receive their fundraising pack and the winning school will be picked at random when they submit their fundraising total on April 30.

Dee Ahearn, CEO of Barretstown, said: "We are very excited to be working with Leinster Rugby on this campaign and we are delighted to be able to reward fundraisers with this fantastic prize for Leinster Rugby supporters.

"Each year we welcome almost 2,000 campers to Barretstown, who have been affected by childhood cancer and other serious illnesses. Thanks to the support of Leinster Rugby and this fundraising initiative, we plan to welcome even more campers to Barretstown in the coming years."

Commenting on the initiative Leinster media and communications manager, Peter Breen, said: "We are delighted to announce details of this innovative competition and we hope that it will raise awareness for Barretstown, who continue to provide such wonderful care for children who are affected by illness, as well as their families. As one of our official charities this year, we hope that many schools will take part and support all of our efforts."
