Ireland return to Soldier Field
Ireland will return to the scene of their greatest one-off achievement in the international arena at Soldier Field on November 3.
Italy will take the place of New Zealand in the first of four November internationals as part of a triple header at the home of the Chicago Bears.
"Irish Rugby is delighted to be returning to Chicago," said the IRFU's Padraig Power.
"In 2016, the Ireland team experienced tremendous support and made history in a week that also witnessed the Cubs celebrating their own piece of history on the streets of Chicago.
"We are looking forward to an exciting match against Italy, who are a well-coached and dangerous team."
This completes Ireland's four-match menu for November, beginning with Italy and Argentina before the All Blacks loom into sight on November 17 at the Aviva Stadium.
The taxing schedule for Joe Schmidt and his team will conclude with the United States Eagles taking up the Tier-2 nation spot on November 24.
Meanwhile, South Africa's Stuart Berry will officiate the All-Irish PRO14 League semi-final between Leinster and Munster at the RDS on Saturday (KO3.15, TG4 & Sky Sports Action).
Connacht have signed Ireland-qualified second row Joe Maksymiw from Leicester Tigers.
The 22-year-old has featured in the Premiership for the East Midlands club this season.
"Joe is a big, powerful lock who has progressed well at Leicester and he will be a good addition to Connacht Rugby," said forwards coach Jimmy Duffy.
