Ireland ratings

ROBERT KEARNEY: Outnumbered for Gray's try. Exploded into the game with broken field running .

TOMMY BOWE: A split-second away from his sixth try in four matches. Peripheral.

KEITH EARLS: Looking more secure with every outing at thirteen. Sparkling acceleration.

GORDON D'ARCY: Not at his best. McFadden must be closing in.

ANDREW TRIMBLE: Nice footwork for his try. Keen to make an impact.

JONATHAN SEXTON: Struck for six out of seven. A defensive rock.

EOIN REDDAN: Sniped well, not just for the try. Inaccurate box kicking.

CIAN HEALY: All-round world-class loose-head. Tackled, carried, hit rucks and dismantled the Scottish scrum.

RORY BEST: Commendable captaincy to go for the lineout that led to his try. Two missed throws.

MIKE ROSS: Forced Jacobsen to concede ground at the scrum. Solid.

DONNCHA O'CALLAGHAN: Worked hard. Caught out by Blair on his inside shoulder.

DONNACHA RYAN: An old hand leading the lineout, stealing two. Drove powerfully and athletically.

STEPHEN FERRIS: Incredible. Almost every tackle was comprehensive, effective and made on the front-foot.

PETER O'MAHONY: Nice work for Best's try. One superb tackle on Denton. Grew into it. Great poach on Cusiter.

JAMIE HEASLIP: The work ethic was there. The big plays were not.
