LEINSTER Rugby's Jamie Hagan and Suas Educational Development have teamed up on a mission to get everyone out to paint the town green this St Patrick's Day.
The Dublin-based education charity have launched their annual 'Shamrocks for Schools' charity event which will take place in Dublin, Cork and Galway on St Patrick's Day.
This event raises funds to ensure that children in under-resourced communities in Ireland, India and Kenya receive a quality education.
"Make a difference in a child's life this St Patrick's Day," says Jamie Hagan. "Sign up to paint faces with Suas, and help to change lives while having a great time."
This year, hundreds of volunteers will take to the streets of Dublin, Cork and Galway, painting shamrocks on the faces of parade revellers young and old, collecting voluntary donations.
Over the past seven years, these volunteers have raised more than €180,000 for vital education projects.
Speaking of the event Betty Nyagoha, manager of Suas Partner school Gatoto in Nairobi, Kenya, said: "I want to thank all of you for the support you are giving. Your money is helping children who would otherwise not have a chance to get a good education."
Not only does this event support a worthy cause, it is also a fun and meaningful way to spend St Patrick's Day. The money raised will make a real difference in the lives of hundreds of children.
