Where once there were few, now there are many.

Joe Schmidt may take a touch over two full Leinster front rows from Mike Ross, Marty Moore, Cian Healy, Jack McGrath, Sean Cronin, Richardt Strauss and Michael Bent to the World Cup.

You would think it doesn't leave much for The Blues new scrum coach John Fogarty to work with.

The former Elite Player Development Officer has intimate experience with Leinster A in the British & Irish Cup for the two seasons previous to this and with the Ireland U20s.

He knows Leinster are not scraping at the bottom of the barrel.

"To be in a Leinster scrum matters. No matter what the front row is, we represent each other when a scrum takes the field," said Fogarty.

"I want them to care and they are showing me they do through their work ethic."

There are loose-heads Edward Byrne, Peter Dooley, Ian Hirst and Jeremy Loughman, hookers Bryan Byrne, Aaron Dundon, James Tracy and Seán McNulty and tight-heads Tadhg Furlong, Jamie Hagan, Royce Burke-Flynn and Oisín Heffernan all vying for minutes.

"It is easy to work with them because they're turning up, putting in the hours, doing the extras, all to play for Leinster."
