Douglas a huge lift for Leinster

Leinster have landed Australian second row Kane Douglas in a real coup for the club.

“Leinster is a massive club in Europe with a proud tradition and I’m really looking forward to doing my bit to add to the team once my commitments are done here in Australia,” said Douglas (

“I’ve had plenty of time to weigh lots of things up and the time is right for me and my partner to experience something new and something totally different”.

The 24 year-old from former Leinster coach Michael Cheika’s New South Wales Waratahs has played for the Wallabies 14 times and will move to Dublin in the summer.

He started all three tests against the British & Irish Lions last summer and has take the bold step to test the patience of the Australian coach Ewen McKenzie and jeopardising his involvement at the 2015 World Cup.
