Connacht to meet Saints
Connacht will have to overcome Northampton Saints at Franklins Gardens next Saturday to make it through to the Champions Cup play-off final at home in Galway.
This was due to Stade Francais's 25-17 victory over Gloucester in the Challenge Cup final at Murrayfield last night.
Connacht will be serious underdogs for the semi-final having lost five of their last six in the PRO12, including on the road to Zebre.
They have been beaten out of sight by Leinster (37-24), The Scarlets (30-8) and Munster (50-14) in their last three League matches.
They have been severely hampered by the loss of the talismanic Bundee Aki to a three-match suspension.
There is the consolation of knowing the centre will be free to contribute to the final.
