Connacht to gain with Scots out
Connacht v Glasgow Warriors, The Sportsgrounds, Friday 8.0, Live Setanta Sports 1
The Westerners have the benefit of five home matches from the eight remaining in their Magners League campaign.
They will have to start with a win at home to Glasgow if they are to harbour any ambition of moving off the bottom.
There is a window of opportunity in Glasgow's shortage of Scotland internationals which includes the entire back row of Kelly Brown, John Barclay and Johnnie Beattie, not to mention their goal-kicker Dan Parks.
It is not unusual for Connacht to take advantage of these situations.
Given their Challenge Cup form, they should be able to generate enough momentum to do themselves, and Leinster and Munster a favour.
