O'Driscoll set for sensational April return
IRELAND captain Brian O'Driscoll could be on course for a sensational return to rugby in April
"I would be very confident you would see him. We are hoping for April because May doesn't give him a lot of breathing space," said Leinster coach Joe Schmidt.
This would give O'Driscoll the target of returning for Leinster's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Cardiff on the first weekend in April.
This is, perhaps, optimistic. But, it does bring the possibility of the Heineken Cup semi-finals on the last weekend in April and final in May into view, as well as the Rabodirect PRO12 League play-offs.
Reports from the Leinster camp have confirmed that he is flying through his rehabilitation and he was very bullish about his progress in a radio interview last week, without setting a date on his return.
O'Driscoll is also on course for Ireland's June tour to New Zealand, where he wants to be part of a first Irish victory against the world champions.
