Redrosezorro looks up to defying a 5lb penalty at Catterick judged on his recent victory at the North Yorkshire track.

Eric Alston's six-year-old ended a run of six efforts in the first four without success after returning from a 264-day break in June with an emphatic victory over this seven furlongs.

The Foxwedge gelding set sail for home fully four furlongs out and kept on strongly to justify favouritism.

A repeat of that performance in the Tunstall Handicap should be more than enough to see him come out on top again.

Paul Mulrennan has been booked by David Brown for Northern Charm in the Bellerby Handicap.

The three-year-old is making his handicap debut after three satisfactory runs to date.

Two of them came at Catterick, so he will be returning to a familiar venue, and he was third in both of them so he clearly handles the track.

Mulrennan is arguably enjoying the best spell of his career, with 21 winners in July and another fruitful month ongoing in August.

He is one of the go-to men up north - and when Brown books him, he usually means business, with a strike-rate approaching 40 per cent.

Iain Jardine's Clearance is a stayer on the up and can defy another rise in the weights in the Whitwell Handicap.

Second on his seasonal return at Beverley, he has since won at Musselburgh and then gone in again off an 8lb higher mark at Ripon in a decent contest.

Graham Lee admitted he thought that rise might be enough to stop him, and he has another 3lb to contend with here, but he actually won at Ripon like he still had a bit in hand.

Molly Mai can back up a comfortable Haydock success by repeating the trick in the first division of the Watch Free Replays On attheraces.com Handicap at Yarmouth.

Charlie McBride's four-year-old appeared to enjoy a return to the turf for the first time in 11 months after a fruitless spell on the all-weather when scoring by two and three-quarter lengths from Perfect Swiss.

A 6lb hike in the weights may not stop her from going in again.

Ajrad made a promising debut when runner-up at Ascot earlier this month and should waste no more time getting off the mark in the EBF Future Stayers Novice Stakes.

Sent off a 22-1 outsider for a seven-furlong maiden, the Ed Dunlop-trained youngster stuck on well when second to Laneqash as his owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum was responsible for the first two.

Gray Day can help make it a successful afternoon for trainer Donald McCain at Bangor.

The Cheshire handler's name graces this race, the Betsafe Proud To Sponsor Donald McCain Racing Handicap Hurdle, and others on the card.

The nine-year-old was an encouraging third at Uttoxeter following a 135-day absence, and this slightly shorter trip should suit.
