KENNY DALGLISH and Luis Suarez are now fighting for their Liverpool lives.
With Suarez accused of misleading Liverpool officials and Dalglish (right) forced to apologise for his fiery television outburst after Saturday's explosive encounter with Manchester United at Old Trafford, both men are now firmly in the eye of the storm.
John Henry and the Fenway Sports Group, fending off pressure from the American media to get a grip on their “European franchise”, demanded a dramatic climb-down by Dalglish and Suarez in an attempt to draw a line under the Evra race row.
But carefully choreographed statements from Dalglish and Suarez apologising for events at Old Trafford may not be enough to satisfy FSG.
Sources suggest that some at Anfield believe a purge is necessary to rehabilitate a reputation battered by events and that Suarez, at least, will be sent packing during the summer.
