Parish pride to further boost Ballyboden
THE club championship is only around the corner. Ballyboden St Enda's are the champs.
They have been boosted by the sponsorship of the Knocklyon Parish. It's the seventh year in succession that the Knocklyon Parish have sponsored the club's camogie section.
Chairman Brendan Moran and camogie chairman Gerry White, have expressed their gratitude.
On the field, the arrival of Tipperary All-Ireland winner and All-Star Jill Horan has lifted the mood.
She is a super addition to Richie Sweetnam's squad who are seeking their fifth successive championship.
Marino are the only club to have achieved that feat in 1996. Celtic completed the four-in-a-row in 1979.
The standard continues to rise in the capital. Last year's final against St Vincent's was a belter. There was only a goal in it.
Boden also beat Vins in the 2012 final, while in 2011 they overcame Raheny, and in 2010 it was Erin's Isle.
Boden have captured the crown nine times. Making double figures will be no easy climb.
But the prayers of the parish are with them.
