Templeogue on a double

A strong Dublin representation will be on show today as the 2012 National Cup Finals gather momentum.

Templeogue will be looking to retain the Basketball Ireland U18 Men's National Cup title but face stiff competition in the shape of Galway outfit Maree.

DCU Mercy will be looking to emulate their Superleague team when they take on Kerry's Tralee Imperials in the U20 Women's Final.

Mercy are making their first appearance in a final at U20 level. The Dubliners secured their Arena pass after a surprise win over Waterford Wildcats.

In the U20 men's final, Killester have a date with holders Maree.

Mikey Deegan's 20-point haul for Killester in the semi-final was enough to see off Tolka Rovers 65-54.

In the other semi-final, Tralee Imperials meet Cork's Singleton's SuperValu Brunell in the U18 Women's National Cup Final, while Imperials will also face Kerry's Scruffys St Paul's in the Senior Women's National Cup Final.

The National Cup finals will conclude on Friday, February 3, when the Setanta Sports cameras will be in attendance for the Women's Superleague clash featuring UL and DCU Mercy, while UCC Demons take on UL Eagles in the men's equivalent.
