Sexton sidelined for eight weeks
JONATHAN SEXTON Sexton is set to be sidelined for two months with a broken jaw.
The Irish out-half suffered the injury playing for Racing Metro in their victory over Toulon on Saturday night.
Racing won the game 17-10 with the Irish international contributing well.
Such an injury would rule him out of Top 14 action and the early stages of the new European Rugby Cup. It is hoped the former Leinster star will be fit for the November internationals, which kick off with the clash against South Africa on November 8 at the Aviva Stadium.
Sexton was tackled by South African hooker Craig Burden after 15 minutes.
Sexton managed to kick two conversions but came off later in the game last Saturday night.
