Saints sights on scalping Eagles

DCU Saints will be looking to upset the odds again this weekend when they host UL Eagles in the Nivea For Men's SuperLeague, while 11890 Killester and UCD Marian have an opportunity to return to winning ways at home to Belfast Star and Ulster Elks respectively.

Tomorrow, in-form UCC Demons entertain a Moycullen side desperate to get their second win of the season.

In the IrishSport.TV Women's SuperLeague, DCU face UL for the third time this season, unbeaten 11890 Killester take on unbeaten Team Montenotte Hotel Cork and Meteors have two games in the space of two days against Waterford Wildcats and Black Forge Oblate Dynamos.

TONIGHT

Nivea For Men's SuperLeague

DCU Saints v UL Eagles, DCU Sports Complex, 3.0

DCU Saints produced the shock of the latest round of games by ending 11890 Killester's perfect start to the season and they will be hoping to match that performance against Southern Conference high flyers UL Eagles on Saturday night.

11890 Killester v Belfast Star, IWA Clontarf, 8.0

Belfast Star head coach Danny Fulton believes today's opponents 11890 Killester may not slip up again after their winning run came to an end. "They'll be even more determined this week to play well against us," he said. "Especially with their National Cup semi-final coming up."

UCD Marian v Ulster Elks,

UCD Sports Centre, 7.0

UCD Marian are hopeful of better luck on the injury front after a flu bug wiped out the majority of the squad prior to their defeat last weekend to UCC Demons.

Their clash with Ulster Elks on Saturday comes just a week before the sides meet in the semi-finals of the National Cup.

"We must separate the two as one of our key objectives is to get a quarter-final play-off spot in the SuperLeague," said UCD head coach Fran Ryan.

TOMORROW

UCC Demons v Moycullen, Mardyke Arena, 3.15

UCC Demons can make it three wins in a row if they can inflict more misery on Moycullen.

"This is a crucial game for us," said Demons head coach Paul Kelleher. "If we let them get into their stride like we did at Moycullen they are very capable of punishing us."

IRISHSPORT.TV WOMEN'S SUPERLEAGUE

DCU Mercy v UL, DCU Sports Complex, 6.0

The women's game of the weekend is the meeting of DCU Mercy and UL on Saturday evening. UL atoned for their National Cup loss to DCU Mercy when they recorded a 62-52 win in the league before Christmas.

"It should prove to be a great run out for the cup," said DCU Mercy's head coach Mark Ingle.

Team Montenotte Hotel Cork v 11890 Killester, Neptune Stadium, 4.45

Amanda O'Regan is ruled out, while Grainne Dwyer is a doubt for Team Montenotte Hotel Cork as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season against 11890 Killester.
