Goggins tops rankings after a classic finale in Grand Prix

A superb finale to the RIBSA Grand Prix in the Ivy Rooms, Carlow saw Rodney Goggins of the 147 Club beating New Institute's Brendan O'Donoghue 4-3 for the title.

Goggins had a smooth run to the final, while O'Donoghue was pushed hard by Q Club's Robrt Murphy in the semi-finals.

In a final that could have gone either way, the black ball in the seventh frame proved the decider. It was a third win for Goggins, who now tops of the rankings, ahead of O'Donoghue and Michael Judge.
