FOTA concern at Bahrain decision
Motor Racing: The Bahrain Grand Prix could find itself back in limbo as the Formula One Teams' Association has finally voiced its concern.
FOTA, an umbrella organisation that represents 11 of the 12 teams with the exception of Hispania Racing, also has firm legal ground on which to stand.
That is despite the apparent unanimous decision taken by the 26-man World Motor Sport Council in Barcelona on Friday to reinstate the race on this year's calendar.
Prior forgiven for bat incident
cricket: The student who was hit by broken glass when Matt Prior accidentally smashed a dressing-room window yesterday has moved to draw a line under the incident.
Prior caused a furore when a bat discarded following his dismissal against Sri Lanka ricocheted against a window, sending shattered glass into the MCC members -- among them 22-year-old Emma Baker. She said: "Matt Prior has said he is sorry and I've accepted that."
Berdych edges it
tennis: Second seed Tomas Berdych was rattled by Belgian qualifier Ruben Bemelmans before making the second round of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle.
Berdych had to save three match points in the second set against the world No 169 before sealing a 5-7 7-6 (10/8) 6-4 win.
Meanwhile, third seed Gael Monfils had an easier 6-4 6-3 win over Italian qualifier Florent Serra.
