IT'S a goal that Fergie O'Donnell will remember forever.
In the years to come, he'll be re-living the moment on the after-dinner circuit.
It came against Ballinteer St John's in Division 11 South of the Adult Football League.
It was a very entertaining game.
Shankill had to overcome the stiffest of tests.
It gave them their first League win since the club was re-formed.
"The goal was a long time coming," states Shankill PRO, Michael Killeen.
But the wait was certainly worth it. If ever there was a Sunday Game Goal-of-the-Season contender, this was it.
"Time was almost up. It was a very tight match. The game was on a knife-edge " explains Michael.
"But then Fergie showed his quality. He displayed such poise and power to blast home the winning goal. It was a stunning strike.
"And now we have another milestone in the club's history."
