And now Ipswich Town have warned Premier League clubs about trying to get David McGoldrick on the cheap in the next transfer window.
The forward was close to a move to Leicester City in the summer window but the bid from the Foxes, reportedly £5m. And Ipswich now maintain that players like McGoldrick cannot be bought at bargain prices.
"Marcus Stewart has said to me that he has got the message out very strongly to agents 'don't think, as a Premier League club, you can come and make silly offers for our players - don't bother to ask'," said Ipswich MD Ian Milne.
"Our strategy is to keep our current squad, we want it to be our Premier League promotion side."
