Na Fianna bid to end run of losing finals
NA FIANNA last won the Michael Murphy Memorial Cup in 2011when they went on to reach the All-Ireland final.
The following season they lost the Dublin final to next Friday's county championship final opponents, Foxrock Cabinteely. And last year, Fingallians beat the Glasnevin club in the replayed final.
"Hopefully, we can come out on the right side of it this time," says Ray Dorney, managing the Mobhi maestros with Lyn Savage, Niall Williams and Bernie Finlay.
Ray thinks the audience are in for a treat at Fingallians.
"Foxrock are flying. They are a very fine side with plenty of inter-county personnel," he says. "We are pleased with our own form and we have been preparing well, but it is going to be a big test."
St Brigid's gave Na Fianna a run for it in the semi-final.
Na Fianna booked a semi-final berth early following wins over Thomas Davis and Clanna Gael Fontenoy before defeating St Sylvester's.
Leah Caffrey is an established member of the Dublin defence, and she also helped the county to U21 All-Ireland glory in the company of club colleagues, Lucy Collins and Aoife Nolan.
