EAMON FENNELL has warned that Dublin will need to be a sleeker version of their 2011 Leinster winning side if they are to successfully negotiate Sunday's latest attempt on their provincial crown.
Wexford - last season's beaten Leinster finalists - come to Croke Park less than a year after they gave Dublin a severe scare. And Fennell is adamant that a repeat performance from his team won't suffice.
"When we look back at last year," the St Vincent's midfielder told the Herald, "we made a lot of mistakes earlier in the campaign. This year, we need to be better in Leinster."
Last July, Wexford were in command when 'keeper Anthony Masterson saw a fisted clearance bounce off full-back Graeme Molloy and trickle into the net, a score which turned the game in Dublin's favour.
"We took the game from them the last day," Fennell admitted. "We were handed the win."
