Liverpool told to accept Suarez decision
LIVERPOOL must withdraw their unconditional support for Luis Suarez or face the prospect of irreparable damage to their reputation globally.
Anti-racist campaigners believe that Liverpool will suffer international scorn if they pursue an appeal against Suarez's eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.
"Luis Suarez and Liverpool FC have the right to appeal," Piara Powar, executive director of Football Against Racism in Europe, said. "However, we would call on the club to think again about their public campaign to dispute the charges and contest the principles involved.
"The vehemence of their campaign is causing them reputational harm."
