Last weekend the qualifiers threw up some surprises which is good for the game.

Tipperary continue to make strides in football and fully deserved the win against Wexford while Antrim had a great win over Galway at home in Casement Park and Leitrim shocked Wicklow on Saturday.

Yesterday, Westmeath nearly caused the shock of the century but couldn't close out their game against Kerry.

One would have expected Kerry to win with a lot to spare but their problems haven't gone away and it is hard to see them doing anything this year unless they find three new defenders very quickly.
