DUBLIN'S hurlers are hopeful that Peter Kelly will be available for next Saturday week's All-Ireland SHC qualifier with Laois in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise (7.0).
The Dublin co-captain injured a hamstring in the draw with Galway in Croke Park and missed out on the heavy replay defeat in Portlaoise a week later.
Ger Cunningham was coy on the subject of Kelly's availabilty for Dublin's first game through the back door but the Lucan man should train with the team next week and could come straight back into a line that struggled so spectacularly against Galway's inside forward trio.
Paul Schutte, who played in that game despite being visibly off peak fitness after suffering an ankle injury, is back in full training.
Cunninham, meanwhile, has called up a large number of this year's U21 panellists to bolster his squad ahead of the back door campaign.
