IRFU reduce ticket prices

THE Irish Rugby Football Union has taken the step to reduce ticket prices for the 2012 Six Nations

Family tickets will start at just €45, while individual stands tickets start at €30 for the Italy match, €35 for Scotland and €40 for Wales.

The IRFU engaged the services of leading sports consultants Deloitte Sport UK in order to prevent a repeat of last season's ticket pricing fiasco that came in for heavy criticism.

Blues trio available

Leinster should be able to take second row Steven Sykes, prop Simon Shawe and Andrew Conway into consideration when devising a squad to cope with Aironi in the PRO12 League at the RDS on Saturday.

Flanker Dominic Ryan has been described by forwards coach Jono Gibbes as an "outside chance" to become available, depending on whether he can convince the medical staff of his recovery from an ankle injury.

International blindside Kevin McLaughlin, also the victim of an ankle problem, will have to wait a while before returning to the grind of league action.

This means Ireland U20 loose forward Jordi Murphy should be in the shake-up for more game time again.

Leinster face into two home matches against bottom club Aironi and provincial rivals Connacht on consecutive Saturdays.
