IRISH prospect Jack Byrne could be on his way to the Netherlands for a loan move to help him progress with the next stage of his career.
Dubliner Byrne has yet to make the first team at Manchester City but he is very highly-rated at the club, as City awarded him a new contract last season.
With so many midfielders ahead of him at Eastlands, Byrne is unlikely to work his way into the first team next term but City are reportedly close to agreeing a season-long loan deal with Dutch side Cambuur.
Byrne was promoted from the Irish U19s to the U21 side last season and has been scouted by Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane.
Meanwhile, Millwall hope that Irish midfielder Shaun Williams will have recovered from his serious injury in time for next season.
Williams, 28, missed the final two months of last season due to injury and was unable to prevent the Lions' slide into League One, but he has resumed light training and will join the squad for pre-season training next week.
