Seamus Heffernan loses Curragh 10 day ban appeal
Seamus Heffernan will be unavailable to Aidan O'Brien during Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe weekend after he lost an appeal against a 10-day suspension picked up at the Curragh on Sunday.
Heffernan was riding In Salutem in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund "Bold Lad" Sprint Handicap (Premier Handicap) and crossed the line second behind George Bowen.
The stewards found him guilty of dangerous riding when he interfered with An Saighdiur and Creggs Pipes.
In Salutem was disqualified and placed last.
His appeal was heard but the suspension upheld by the appeals committee and it begins in September 27.
As well as the two days of the Arc fixture, Tipperary hosts a big card on the Sunday, featuring the Concorde Stakes on the Flat.
