Rydan set for victory

RYDAN made quite an impression last time out and while the Listed Betdaq 50% Refund First 3 Months Floodlit Stakes at Kempton represents a huge step up, Robert Mills' charge looks game for the challenge.

The Intense Focus colt showed some glimpses of ability in his first few starts, including when not beaten far at all by subsequent Royal Ascot winner Cannock Chase and future Lingfield Oaks Trial victory Honor Bound.

However, it took a switch to handicap company for Rydan to finally get his head in front, triumphing over 10 furlongs at Sandown in June before going on to place again at the same track as well as in a fair event at Glorious Goodwood.

He enjoyed no sort of luck at Sandown in August but bounced back in style with a six-length victory over the reopposing Carnevale at Kempton last month.

FEY boasts an excellent pedigree and is worth a shout in the first division of the Betdaq-No Premium Charge Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

Her trainer Charlie Appleby has his string in good heart and top all-weather pilot Adam Kirby will do the steering.

PAROLE is another notable newcomer in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Stakes, in a race that might throw up one of two future winners.

Gm HOPKINS is expected to return to winning ways in the Thanks For Everything Pip Kirby Handicap at Nottingham.

Grumeti looks a useful recruit to the fencing ranks and he can make a winning start to the winter campaign in the Weatherbys Private Banking Novices' Chase at Warwick.
