Queen ready to reign at Wolverhampton

QUEEN Of Denmark is certainly bred to be a world beater and while she has so far failed to live up to her pedigree, she should be good enough at Wolverhampton.

A Kingmambo half-sister to Hong Kong superstar Vengeance Of Rain and Australian Oaks winner Dizelle, connections probably expected Queen Of Denmark to be featuring in Pattern company at this stage.

However, she has evidently had her problems as she did not make her racecourse bow until last month, when impressing with a two-length win at Southwell. Lining up in a fair maiden for older horses, the four-year-old looked to be a little in need of the outing but demonstrated an admirable attitude after travelling well throughout.

Queen Of Denmark stayed on strongly over 11 furlongs that day so it is no real surprise that Mark Johnston sends her over a mile and a half this time.

Rocky Rebel can complete his hat-trick in the wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Handicap.

The four-year-old failed to get his head in front in eight starts for Ralph Beckett, but since changing hands at Tattersalls last autumn, he has made quite a splash for new trainer Chris Bealby, and was in command when winning over a mile and a half at Kempton.

Raised 5lb for that victory over Rowan Ridge, Rocky Rebel is still some 3lb lower than his |highest ever mark and might still have a little something up his sleeve.

Place That Face has hit the bar on her last couple of outings but can finally find the target in the Punters Package Group Offer Median Auction Maiden Stakes.

Prince Gabrial is worth following as he drops back to a sprint trip in the Tickets At southwell-racecourse.co.uk Handicap at Southwell.

Johnston should also be on the mark with Colour Guard in the Mirror Punters Club Maiden Stakes. This four-year-old is bred in the purple but making a late start to his career.

Oscar Whisky may have had his Festival |preparations derailed by the weather, but he’ll be the star on Kempton's ‘bumpers for jumpers' card.

Nicky Henderson is eager to get a race into his World Hurdle candidate, and while the Better Prices On Betfair Mobile “Jumpers' Bumper” National Hunt Flat Race is probably not quite what he had in mind, Oscar Whisky should emerge victorious.
