Nuits St Georges has every chance of being the toast for punters in the Royal Sussex Regiment Handicap at Goodwood.

David Menuisier's stayer heads for the two-mile heat in good form, with two wins from three starts since racing resumed during the summer.

Those races were all over a mile and a three-quarters - but he does stay further and has won over this two miles in the past.

The Mount Nelson gelding ended the last campaign with 12th place in the Cesarewitch and the Newmarket marathon could again be on the agenda.

Tick Toch should appreciate the move up to seven furlongs in the European Breeders Fund EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes.

William Haggas' charge turned in a satisfactory performance on her racecourse bow, finishing a three-length fourth at Newbury last month after keeping on admirably at the finish over six furlongs.

Her dam was a Listed winner over a mile and five furlongs, so Tick Toch looks the type to thrive over more of a stamina test in time.

Different Face was unlucky to come up against subsequent Listed winner Acklam Express on her only previous visit to Goodwood.

The daughter of Exceed And Excel, trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, is unlikely to bump into that kind of opposition in the Farmer Butcher Chef Fillies' Nursery Handicap.

All her starts have been over the minimum trip so far, but it is no surprise she is stepping up to six furlongs as she has putting in good late work in her races.

Canford's Joy has run creditably without much luck since returning to action this summer and can land a deserved success in the Get So Much More With RacingTV Handicap at Catterick.

Liam Bailey's five-year-old put up a fair effort when third to Redrosezorro over this seven furlongs on his latest start. A similar display will see the gelding go close.

Point Of Honour finally got off the mark on his 19th start and can double up in the Scorton Handicap.

Despite his lack of success, Phillip Makin's charge was sent off the 5-2 favourite at Beverley three weeks ago and duly obliged in a 16-runner event over a mile and a quarter.

He had been beaten into third place over this mile and a half on his previous outing after leading a furlong out. He can last out this time if held up for a late challenge.

His darting namesake has struggled a bit lately, but the equine Van Gerwen can hit the bullseye in the Watch Free Replays On attheraces.com Handicap at Newcastle.

Paul Midgley's sprinter has been in fine form, winning at Ripon and not beaten far when placed at Chester and Beverley.

Samoot can confirm the promise of an encouraging debut run at Sandown to win the Follow Attheraces On Twitter EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes.

The Dubawi filly was unfancied at 22-1 for a seven-furlong maiden, but belied her odds by staying on to take third place behind Creative Flair despite being slowly away and running green for most of the race.

The Late Legend could be ready strike in the Racing Partnership Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase at Newton Abbot.
