Legatissimo to return to winning ways

Sunday's big race is the Sea The Stars Pretty Polly Stakes with the Tsui family kindly coming in and sponsoring the race.

And it is certainly a deservingly prestigious affair for the stallion to put his name to.

With two 1,000 Guineas winners, the unbeaten Brooch and a strong challenge from overseas, this looks set to be the best renewal of the Pretty Polly Stakes we have witnessed in many years.

Legatissimo obviously finished second in the Epsom Oaks and I think coming back to a mile and a quarter will see the filly at her best.

With the race there for the taking at Epsom I just felt she didn't quite manage to stay the distance in the Oaks and we will now see her in her most ideal conditions.

Brooch is a very high-class filly who is unbeaten in her four starts to date, and conditions will be key to her and Pleascach's chances. It'll be very interesting to see how the race pans out.
