Jockeys help raise €11,000 for Haiti

Full marks go to the racing fraternity yesterday as they helped raise something in the region of €11,000 for the Haiti Appeal.

Jockeys at both Leopardstown and Limerick donated their riding fee of approximately €130 and jockeys with two or more rides donated two riding fees with a total of 78 riding fees collected.

Trainer Robbie Hennessy, who saddled Sublimity to finish third in the Toshiba Irish Champion Hurdle, donated his trainers' percentage from his third place earnings and the jockeys' valet Dave Fox donated €250.
