Hughes to train in 2016

Neither of the current British champion jockeys in jump or Flat racing will be riding in 2016 after Richard Hughes announced yesterday that he'd be following AP McCoy into retirement.

Unlike McCoy, Hughes has committed his future to training and plans to begin his new career for the start of the 2016 season after he retires.

"I know I can't ride forever. However, I know I can train nearly forever and I want my children to grow up in a training yard in the same way I did," he said.
