Henderson's seventh heaven
Nicky Henderson was the toast of Cheltenham as he wrapped up a record total of seven winners to land yet another Festival trainers' title.
During a memorable four days, the Seven Barrows handler enjoyed a four-timer on Wednesday when he passed the all-time Festival winners' record of 40 held by the late Fulke Walwyn.
He even ended the meeting on a high with a one-two through Bellvano and Tanks For That in the final race of the meeting, the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Chase, named in memory of his late father.
Henderson's Festival tally now stands at 46, as he claimed his ninth trainers' award.
Fittingly, it was Henderson's stable jockey Barry Geraghty who took the jockeys' prize with five winners. He was previously successful once before in 2005, when he also had a total of five. The Irish ace has now had a total of 25 winners at jump racing's biggest meeting of the year.
